Look of the Week

Each week I am surprised and seriously impressed by the work of the illustrators that create posts for The Rakish Gent. This week, the work of Moira Zahra is no exception. Moira's illustration of a dapper chap enjoying a sunshine break has been created with a combination of ink, promarkers and digital colouring. Her illustrations create an imaginary world for the subject and are effective ways for her to express her ideas and thoughts. With a background in digital and traditional media, animation and graphic design she is interested in adding a touch of surrealism to people's everyday routines.

The look that Moira has illustrated, styled by me is perfect for the beach. For great swimwear for men, Orlebar Brown really do not have any rivals. These swim shorts in the classic bulldog features an eye catching falling feathers print in a vivid blue. With a great pair of shorts, you really do not need much else but a few great accessories. Shoes come via Rivieras at Mr Porter, which are perfect for lounging by the pool with their canvas and cotton mesh make up. The beautiful Napoli hat is from Lock & Co Hatters, with a darker tone than a Panama which gives it a more lived in look. Shades complete the look and I love this pair of acetate shades from Oliver Spencer at Matches Fashion

Many thanks to Moira for the time spent in creating her surrealist interpretation of a rakish gent on holiday. You can find out more about her work on her website as well as follow her on Instagram and Facebook
